We do not claim that the zipper itself is biodegradable. The door panel is manufactured from our bioWRAP® landfill-biodegradable film, while the zipper is designed for durability and repeated use.
In practice, many of our loyal customers and bioPRO® expert installers reuse the same doors across multiple projects. When the shrink wrap is removed, the door can simply be cut out and retained for the next job. Once the door panel reaches the end of its useful life, the zipper can also be removed and reused again. Our objective is to reduce unnecessary waste wherever possible by combining biodegradable film with durable, reusable components.
