Does bioWRAP® really biodegrade in a landfill, or is it just marketing?

Yes — bioWRAP® shrinkwrap is engineered to biodegrade only in landfill conditions, not during use or storage. Most plastics marketed as “biodegradable” require oxygen, sunlight, or industrial composting. A landfill is the opposite environment: dark, compressed, and oxygen-poor. That is...

How long does it take for bioaqualife® shrinkwrap to decompose?

Under optimal anaerobic conditions—like those in a landfill—our shrinkwrap biodegrades within the period of 3 to 5 years. This process is driven by our proprietary formula, which attracts anaerobic microbes that consume the material, converting it into natural byproducts: biomass, water,...

How bioaqualife® wrap is different from Compostable/OXO-plastic?

bioaqualife® film stands apart from compostable and oxo-degradable plastics due to its superior biodegradability, environmental safety, and performance standards. Here’s why: True Biodegradability, Not Degradation: Compostable plastics require specific industrial conditions—high heat, controlled moisture, and oxygen—to break down effectively. Outside...
