How to install bioaqualife® shrinkwrap

We’re often asked the question. “How is bioaqualife® installed, and is there anything we need to do differently when making the switch?”. The short answer is NO. But there are subtle differences!

To help you maximize the benefits, we have put together this installation demo, sharing some professional tips & tricks!

Step-by-Step Guide:

Measuring & Cutting

bioaqualife® shrinkwrap rolls come with a printed Centerline — marks every 2 feet that work as a built-in tape measure. No guessing, no extra tools.
Count the marks: 9 marks = 18 feet of material.

Alignment Made Easy

Use the Centerline printed on the film as your visual guide. It helps you keep the film straight and evenly distributed across the object.

Welding Seams

bioaqualife® shrinkwrap requires less heat than traditional shrink wrap to weld together. Once properly set, the welds are incredibly strong and will not come apart.

Shrinking Technique

Shrinking bioaqualife® shrinkwrap takes LESS HEAT than it looks like. When shrinking the film, you can move the torch faster than you are used to. This prevents burning thin spots while getting the job done faster using less propane.

Reduced need for shrink tape

Another big advantage:
bioaqualife® shrinkwrap seams typically don’t need to be taped to prevent them from opening up.

Use bioTape® for:

  • Tape on padding to any sharp objects
  • Repair accidental holes
  • Reinforce high-stress points
